Magic Bullet

Raise your paw if you have done this (or, like me, continue to do this)?

'This' being attributing a really bad day of joint pain (or a really good day) to - the full moon, the new moon, something you ate and/or drank, something you didn't eat and/or drink, the weather (it started raining, it stopped raining, a cold front came through, a low settled in), a pair of shoes, getting up early, getting up late, going to bed early the night before, going to bed late the night before, it being a work day, it being a weekend day, exercising the previous day, not exercising the previous day (or the particular form of exercise you did), a higher dose of fish oil, a higher (or lower) dose of vitamin D (or E, or any in the alphabet), spending time in the sun and getting natural vitamin D, forgetting to make the proper sacrifices to the gods of autoimmune disease. . .

Hmmm? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Maddening dis-ease, isn't it!?!?

Hi Jennifer,

YES! We humans (I'm well included) do this and do this and do this. Not sure I personally do it so much nowadays. Yes, it used to bad luck seeing a single magpie..... Hee hee. We see patterns. I think overall it's beneficial, we just have to check the patterns are really there occasionally... Oh, I've thought of several other things I've linked in the past but am too embarrassed to own up to!

Hi Peter, I'm so glad you're back and blogging regularly again! Of course, some of the things I listed really do make a difference (stress, weather, diet, fish oil, vitamin D, etc), but I certainly do amuse myself at the expectation of finding a 'magic bullet' that will make everything all better, now and forever!

-paws raised-
(As high as shoulders will allow, in any case)

Today I am attributing excess shoulder pain to the excitement of receiving my AS-level results.
I don't really think so...

(Although I do know that running and walking uphill KILLS me, and I don't think I'm making that up ;] )
